Inspired by the beautiful palm trees in Florida, this original artwork is painted on the tree’s “boot jack”. The boot jack is the lower portion of the stem which eventually turns brown and falls off. It got it’s name from the shape which resembles a “boot jack”.
These boot jacks are collected from trees primarily in the artist’s yard and surrounding coastal areas of northeast Florida and southeast Georgia. Each piece’s natural form adds to the originality of the design.
